Mommy and Daddy

Like many parents, Ben and I prefer to share pictures of our daughter rather than of ourselves. However after receiving a few requests for parent pictures, here they are--softened of course by the inclusion of Genevieve.

Happy Spot

The changing table is Genevieve's happy spot. If she is upset or tired, Ben and I can just lay her on the changing table and almost always she will calm down for a couple of minutes. Genevieve has just begun to smile and of the 5 or so smiles we've seen thus far, they have all occured on the changing table. Below is a video of Genevieve enjoying herself after her diaper change. Genevieve has also started cueing a little bit and you can hear some of her adorable sounds as she kicks away.

Wow, our first adventure into the cyberworld. We thought this might be a little easier than sending pictures to everyone. So, this is little Genevieve Grace. She is now three weeks old and is doing well. Her lungs are well developed and her rookie parents give them a regular workout. Most of the time she is a sweetheart, but like all babies, she has her moments. We are elated to have her here, she has brought a lot of joy to our home.



Mom is doing well. She somehow squeezed into one of her old pair of jeans today, which made her feel well. Genevieve definately seems smitten with her and vice versa. For those who haven't heard, Jennetta did finish her PhD in August. She is still deciding what and when she is planning on doing with her degree.

As for me, residency is going well. It has been a sharp learning curve, but I feel like I am catching on and learning a lot. We are enjoying owning a home and being able to make our own improvements. Sometime will have to post some pictures of what we're doing.
